Independent taste
Every pool here earns its place on the view, the water, and the space to actually unwind. Nothing is paid for, and nothing is padded.
About
Sky & Swim began with a simple preference: I would always rather be near the water. A great rooftop pool is its own reason to travel — a swim with a whole city laid out below — and this is where I keep the ones worth your time.
How this started
My favorite trips tend to involve a swim-up suite or an overwater bungalow — the kind of water you plan a whole year around. That's the world of my sister site, Jet & Swim. But those journeys ask for long flights, real time, and a passport — the kind of trip that only comes around once in a while.
The rest of the year, I still want the water — just closer to home. A weekend where the pool, the view, and the rooftop bar are the entire point. Sky & Swim is where I gather those places: the American rooftops worth booking, chosen with care and kept current.
What you can count on
Every pool here earns its place on the view, the water, and the space to actually unwind. Nothing is paid for, and nothing is padded.
When you're ready to book, I send you directly to the hotel — no unfamiliar middlemen, no bait pricing, no surprises at check-in.
Seasons change, pools close, day-pass rules shift. I keep the details up to date so your plans hold.

Who's behind it
I'm the one who visits, orders the drink, and stays until the light turns. Sky & Swim is the guide I always wished I had — and its sister site, Jet & Swim, is for the trips when the daydream calls for a swim-up suite.
A few links here are affiliate links; if you book through them, I may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. It never influences a ranking. If there's a rooftop I should know about, I'd love to hear it: hello@skyandswim.com.
Planning a trip?
I'm also an independent travel advisor with Fora, which means I can book the hotels in this directory for you directly. The planning costs you nothing, and on partner properties you get perks I can't offer through a booking link — room upgrades when available, resort credits, breakfast, early check-in — at the same rate you'd pay on your own.
Same standards apply: I book the places I'd book myself. If you've found a rooftop here worth the trip, I can take it from a tab open in your browser to a reservation with perks attached.
