The pool

  • Seasonal rooftop pool
  • 1956 Scenicruiser bus on deck
  • Nashville skyline
  • Hotel guests only

Why it's on the list

Rebranded from the Bobby in 2026, but the rooftop kept its best trick: a retrofitted 1956 Scenicruiser bus parked on the deck, which could be tacky and somehow reads as exactly right. The pool is seasonal, genuinely swimmable, and looks out over the Nashville skyline and the Avenue of the Arts.

The stay

The Nash spent its first eight years as the Bobby — the 144-room boutique that opened in May 2018 beside Printer's Alley, nine stories of music-city design with record players in the rooms — before taking its new name and joining the Opal Collection on March 1, 2026. Downtown here means the historic speakeasy alley at the door and Lower Broadway a few blocks south, which is about as central as sleeping in Nashville gets. At $$ it's the downtown option with actual character — book it for the roof, Scenicruiser and all, and remember the pool is guests-only and seasonal, so the deck stays a hotel amenity rather than a public scene.
