Why it's on the list
The Pool Club is the most sociable rooftop in the Warehouse District — heated, downtown skyline filling the view, and programming most afternoons. Worth knowing before you go: a day pass buys you the water, not a lounger. Poolside seating is reserved for hotel guests.
The stay
The Virgin is the glossy new-build — opened in 2021 at Baronne and Lafayette with the brand's usual venue stack: Commons Club on the ground floor, the Pool Club on the roof, and the Dreamboat lounge on thirteen. It sits on the CBD edge of the Warehouse District, still an easy walk to the Quarter and the convention center, with the hotel itself supplying most of the evening. At $$ it's priced like the Barnett and the choice between them is temperament — this one for programmed, sociable energy and a proper rooftop scene; and since poolside loungers are reserved for hotel guests, the room is worth more here than the day pass.
